If you’re a creative soul (or know one), it might bug you to buy a $5 card at the store when you want to wish someone a “Happy Birthday” or send a heartfelt “Thank You” note. As someone who has dabbled just a few hours in the arts & crafting world (just kidding, I could probably open up a small craft store), I really love being able to use my own creations to mail to people.
BUT finding somewhere that would affordably print my own card creations (and where I didn’t have to buy 100 copies of the same design) was a challenge. Well, I finally found a print-on-demand service that I’m pretty pleased with.
After lots of trial and error (and testing some samples), I’m teaching a Skills Workshop on how to make greeting cards from your own art.

This workshop is perfect for a budding (or accomplished) artist who want to make professional grade cards to use.
This Skills Workshop is an online class (which means you can watch it wherever is most comfortable for you!)
What You’ll Need to Turn YOUR Art into a Greeting Card:
Your own artwork (drawing, painting, photo, etc)
Smartphone, digital camera, or scanner to take a high quality photo of your art (if it’s a physical piece)
$8-$10 to order a set of 10 cards (your final price will depend on the paper type and size choice of your cards)
Accounts with Canva.com & Gooten.com (both free to use)
Computer or smartphone to design, upload, and order your cards
Why Make Your Own Greeting Cards?
From what I’ve seen, most custom card sets are about $12-$20 (single cards are usually $3-$5).
By learning how to make your own (professional grade & they come with envelopes!), you can save money in the long runThere’s just something special about sending (or gifting) something that you’ve designed yourself
Can you figure out how to do it yourself?
Absolutely! It’s really not super hard to do, but I do know I spent a good chunk of time (and have purchased printed samples) to figure out how to create a physical product that I am proud to mail to friends, family, and clients. This Skills Workshop is a short-cut on all the lessons I learned.
