Online Tutoring
Confusion, harsh words, frustration, & tears?
Learning is hard work, but nothing will kill the joy of learning faster than the constant struggle of not understanding something. If your student is wrestling with a subject, private tutoring can be the solution to help your student reach their goals.
Why can a tutor make a difference?
As your student’s personal tutor,
I’m the buffer between you and your student.
You get to be their parent & not the focus of their academic frustrations
I’m a problem-solver and can pinpoint missing skills.
You don’t have to worry about trying to figure out how to explain that thing again or wonder what skills they’re missing
I’m another cheerleader.
You are your student’s biggest cheerleader, but I’m here to be another positive voice to build their confidence!
What ages and subjects can I help you with?
I have years of experience with preschool through high school grades in a variety of subjects.
My specialties include:
Arithmetic foundations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals, & money)
Algebra
Economics, History, Website & Graphic Design, & Unit Study creation for varied interests
(I’m currently not tutoring in the subjects of geometry, higher maths, chemistry, or physics)
Always a Free Consultation.
After your initial inquiry, I always have a free, no obligation “face to face” conversation (through video chat) with you and your student.
No long-term tutoring contracts. You can cancel tutoring services at anytime.
My goal ALWAYS is that the fit between both your student and myself is a good one and everyone feels like we are making progress!

FAQ
How does online tutoring work?
Online tutoring is a wonderful tool because you don’t have the leave the comfort of your home for premium private tutoring.
We’ll use Google Meet software to connect with live video conferencing. Through the software, I can share my screen which I use as a virtual whiteboard that your student can view as we practice the skills they are working on.
What supplies will we need for our tutoring session?
Computer, laptop, or tablet
Microphone (usually built-in)
Headphones (can be helpful to not have audio feedback, but not required)
For math, I always recommend students have their own paper & pencil for working problems too
Why do you do half hour tutoring sessions?
I’ve found that half hour tutoring sessions are the perfect length for completing tutoring goals without students becoming mentally tired or overwhelmed with new information.
Can I reschedule a tutoring session?
Yes - if you give me a 48 hours heads-up, we will work to reschedule your session.
Less than 48 hour notice will be considered a missed session and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
